Both teams fall to big scores & centurians

Oxenhope CC 1st Xi  212 for 7 Lost to Booth 1st Xi  283 for 3 .

The quality of the batting track at Oxenhope is proving their undoing as the 1st XI continue to be unable to dismiss sides. Booth were the beneficiaries this week as they amassed 283 runs for the loss of just three wickets in the 45 allotted overs. Steven Senior batted through for 143 not out and the Laycock brothers Richard & Robert both recorded undefeated 50's.  No bowler made any real impression but Scott Mallinson bowled through take 1 for 109 in his 22 overs. Oxenhope's spirited reply was destined to fall short but they did achieve full bonus batting points on the way to 212 for 7 before the overs ran out. A welcome return to form for Tom Mawer 42 not out was complimented by 35 from Lewis Hopkinson, 36 and 35 from Joel Fothergill.  Usman Saghir was the pick of the Booth bowlers with 14 overs 3 for 20 .

Oxenhope CC 2nd Xi 242 All out lost by 141 Runs to Mount CC 2nd Xi 383 for 8.

 Mount 2nd XI continued their run of high scores with another big total against Oxenhope 2nd Xi with 383 for 4 in 45 overs . Jabir Patel followed up his 150 not out last week with 180 with Suleman Rawat (51) & Amjad Hussain (45) being the other major contributors.  Oxenhope shared the bowling duties out but it was seventh change Robbie Carling who finished with the best figures of 3 for 57.  The visitors reply was measured as they sought to ensure they maximised the batting bonus points Eddie Burke with 67 was top scorer but the performance of note was young Robbie Carling who followed up his excellent bowling figures with a maiden half century finishing undefeated on 55 as the home side claimed victory in the second last over. Amjad Hussain 61 for 4 & Abdul Ravat 3 for 35 were the pick of the bowlers dismissing Oxenhope for 242.
