Match report Yet another wet day but knowing we had to complete the game midweek, we did manage to start the game. This was an all together different batting performance from the previous day with Jow getting back to his usual self. Brendan was in fine form today but eventually the weather became much worse and we had to delay until Tuesday. Once again Brendan picked up from where he left off and had a solid partnership with Josh who quite deservedly reached his first senior team half century and looking at his batting performance, this won't be the last. Both Brendan (126) and Josh (51) gave their wickets away chasing extra runs at the end which is always commendable. A quick fire 23 from the big hitting Tom Tetley enabled us to reach an excellent tota of 249. The bowling was always going to be difficult being deprived of the services of 'Big Dave' AKA Ponchus pilot, limited overs and junior 'fast' bowling regulations but we did manage to scramble through. I must say from a captain's point that I was looking into getting a bit of support from my fellow "senior pro's" into trying to fathem out who could bowl from which end and how many overs were left for each junior etc but did they offer any support? Not a whiff!
A very close finish which could have gone either way made an excellent end to a much enjoyable game with great contributions from all the juniors whether it be batting, bowling or fielding. It just goes to show that this is a team game and that you should never consider that you're going to loose the game. A couple of quick wickets always changes the game and thats exactly what happened in this game. Well done everybody! (PH)

Match Plonker: It's a toss up between me (again) for falling over trying to make a catch or Jow for getting hit on the bonce!
